Bloomin’ Lumen’s mission is to create lighting that is accessible, one-of-a-kind, functional art for your home or workplace. Most importantly, we  help you create a space that reflects your unique personal style.

Atlanta-based Bloomin’ Lumen was founded in 2006 by Debbie Derby, a graduate of  New York City’s Parsons School of Design. Bloomin’ Lumen’s products reflect Debbie’s  passion for color, pattern, form and texture. Innovative and original, they also reflect Debbie’s twenty years as a commercial interior designer, and over thirty years as a weaver.

The first Bloomin’ Lumen products were table lamps – often created from flea market finds. The line soon expanded into chandeliers and pendants, often incorporating random weaving techniques. Later a line of whimsical nightlights was born.

Environmentally conscious, Bloomin’ Lumen seeks out the beauty of using  “found” and recycled materials, connecting and transforming them into something beautiful and new. Many of Bloomin’ Lumen’s pieces are commissions, with a particular client’s style in mind. The synergy of the client’s needs and desires combined with the Bloomin’ Lumen aesthetic results in uniquely personal lighting solutions.
